GlobCover is the global land cover data, with a resolution of 300 meters and a data format of TIF. The original data of the global land cover data of GlobCover comes from Envisat satellite and is captured by MERIS (Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) sensor. At present, there are two phases, Global Land Cover Map 2009 and Global Land Cover Product 2005-2006.

Data download address: ESA（ http://due.esrin.esa.int/page_globcover.php ).Traceability: The MERIS sensor of 300 meters on the ENVISAT satellite mission is used as the input observation, and the high-quality image data received by the MERIS sensor from January 1 to December 31, 2009 is mainly selected for image synthesis. The Global Land Cover Data adopts the "Land Cover Classification System of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United States".
