Introduction

Population supporting capacity of land refers to the number of people who sustainably and steadily supported by their own land resources according to the natural production potential, input level and management level of land resources. The population supporting capacity of land is mainly concerned with the proportion of non - agricultural population, per capita construction land area and per capita arable land area.

Calculation method

The proportion of non-agricultural population as, per capita construction land area as, per capita arable land area as . The specific calculation process is as follows:

①Non-agricultural population ratio (A1) = non-agricultural population / population of study area)

②Per capita construction land area (A2) = Construction land area in the study area / non-agricultural population。

Per capita arable land area (A3) = number of cultivated land at the end of the year / number of rural population。Indicator criteria:In accordance with the classification of urban land and planning and construction land standards (GBJ137-90), per capita construction land area of the standard value is 120/ person. Per capita arable land area of the standard in 2005 China's per capita arable land area is1.4 acres / person.
