Prof. Juanle Wang is a researcher and doctoral advisor of Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He holds the position of vice director of Department for Geo-data Science and Sharing, director of World Data Center Renewable Resources Environment of ICSU-WDS, vice director of the Natural Resources Information System Professional Committee of China Natural Resources Society, vice director of Information Science Branch of China Society For Environmental Sciences, and he is a member of the expert group of the Journal of “Man and the Biosphere” and a council member of China Society For Environmental Resources and Ecological Conservation, and he is also an editorial board member of several journals, such as "Data Science Journal" ,"Data", "Regional Problem" ,"China Science & Technology Resources Review "and" China Scientific Data". Successively, he has presided over the national natural science fund projects, scientific research special projects of environmental protection public welfare industry and key projects of basic work for the national science and technology, etc., and he has participated in construction of the National Earth System Science Data Sharing and Service Platform for a long time. His recent research interests are as follows: scientific data sharing in resources and environmental field, the space information system of Belt and Road Initiatives, knowledge service system of disaster risk reduction. Over the past five years, Prof. Wang has published more than 80 academic papers in the past 5 years, and has published 4 monographs and 2 atlas exclusively or in cooperation, and he won the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2014.
